The Governors Bay Hotel with its garden setting and magical
harbour views, makes for an idyllic setting for your wedding reception.
Our main restaurant area seats up to 75 guests. If required a marquee
can be erected for an expansive entertainment area.
Venue hire for weddings is $500.00 which is inclusive of the exclusive
use of our restaurant and North facing garden area. Also included are
table linen and napkins, glassware, crockery, cutlery and waiting
staff.
Accommodation is available for up to five couples and additional
accommodation can also be arranged at local B & Bs. We will happily
organise entertainment options such as a band or DJ at additional cost
and transport to and fro the venue if required.
The restaurant always features roses from our garden (October-April),
however, table decorations and/or other flowers can also be arranged by
yourself.
Other than the Hotel itself there a number of local locations ideal for
the wedding ceremony. St. Cuthbert’s Church is a gorgeous venue less
than two kilometres from the Hotel and there are a variety of Churches
in Lyttelton. Many of our brides have also opted for the ceremony on the
pier itself.
